Personality in difficult conditions: reconsidering and reorganization of life situations and psychological defence
Annotation

The dynamics of a person’s consciousness and coping behavior under severe life conditions is analyzed. This dynamics appears to be a result of mental working out of life adversities in terms of the person’s unique and partly conscious «concept» of the world. The techniques» of coping behavior that are chosen are determined by personal features and the level of psychotraumatic influence of severe life conditions. The leading coping strategies are considered. The issues of aid supporting under stress conditions are discussed.
